Coach Kobe is a Certified Golf Teaching Professional with the United States Golf Teachers Federation and a PGA professional, dedicated to growing the game of golf and empowering the next generation of athletes. A Kansas City, Missouri native, he is a proud graduate of Raytown South High School (Class of 2021), where he served as a team captain and student leader throughout his academic career.

During his senior year, Coach Kobe was honored as Hy-Vee’s “Student Athlete of the Week,” becoming the first African American male golfer to receive the award. His leadership, academic dedication, and athletic achievements have left a lasting mark on his school and local community.

Coach Kobe’s passion for golf began in his youth through the First Tee of Greater Kansas City, a program that taught him both the fundamentals of the game and the importance of character through its Nine Core Values. These early experiences helped shape his personal and professional philosophy, emphasizing integrity, perseverance, and respect both on and off the course.

Following the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, Coach Kobe committed himself to a path of service through golf. He now channels his energy into mentoring young athletes, using the game as a platform to teach valuable life skills, build confidence, and foster resilience in youth across Kansas City and surrounding communities.

Coach Kobe is passionate about making golf accessible and inclusive for individuals of all ages and backgrounds. His mission is to use the sport as a transformative tool for personal development, helping others navigate challenges, achieve their potential, and lead with purpose.
